Meg Charendoff

Meg Charendoff is a freelance writer whose creative non-fiction stories appear in the latest books in the New York Times best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul series – Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover’s Soul and Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover’s Soul, released in September, 2005. 

Meg’s non-fiction articles and essays also appear in regional and national publications including The Jewish Exponent, The Chestnut Hill Local, and Non-Sport Update, and cover such diverse topics as health and fitness, landscape architecture, wedding planning, and trading card collecting.

A former attorney, Meg received her law degree from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law, where she was both a contributing author and an Associate Research Editor for the Temple Law Review. She has over ten years experience in legal research and writing.

Meg also writes fiction. She is a member of the Editorial Board for Philadelphia Stories, a literary magazine featuring the work of writers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Meg is currently working on a novel (as yet untitled) and several short stories, as well as a collection of creative non-fiction essays. Meg is also a candidate for a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing at Rosemont College.

Meg lives and writes outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is the mother of four young children. If she had any spare time, Meg would read and knit.
